Have you been thinking about fixing your crooked or misaligned smile but haven’t been able to bring yourself to make the commitment? We get it. Even if you know that it will be a change for the better, you’ve lived with your less-than-perfect grin for a long time and on some level, you are probably used to it.

But here’s the thing. Teeth that are too crowded or out of alignment are not only damaging to your self-esteem — which affects how you smile, how you carry yourself, and how other people perceive you — but they are damaging to your oral health as well.

It can be difficult or even impossible to thoroughly brush and floss a smile that’s not straight or evenly spaced. This gives decay-causing bacteria, plaque, and tartar safe spots to proliferate and do their damage, leading to tooth decay and gum disease.

And when your bite is off, its force will not be properly distributed along the jaw, and your upper and lower teeth will not meet where they should. This can cause all sorts of problems, from TMJ issues and headaches to chipping and excessive wear of the teeth.

With our fall 2017 promotion offering $300 off ClearCorrect treatment, there’s never been a better time to fix your smile. Call the East Dallas, TX office of Dr. Gregory Allen Kerbel at 972-360-9944 for details.

A Texas Monthly Super Dentist for 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016, Dr. Kerbel combines top-notch clinical skills, a friendly and compassionate chairside manner, and awesome office amenities. (Post-procedure smoothie, anyone?)

What Is ClearCorrect?

ClearCorrect is an orthodontic system that utilizes a progression of transparent plastic aligners to gradually shift your teeth into the desired position. Severe alignment problems may be best corrected with traditional braces. But ClearCorrect has numerous benefits for patients with mild to moderate issues — including overbites and underbites, uneven spacing, and tilted or rotated teeth.

  • The aligners are thin, discreet, and totally clear, making them virtually invisible on the teeth.
  • They are precisely custom fit to your mouth and much more comfortable than metal braces (no sharp wires and brackets to irritate your cheeks and gums, no uncomfortable tightening required).
  • They are fully removable. This means you can eat whatever you want, because you don’t have to worry about food getting trapped or breaking your braces. You can brush and floss normally. You can even remove them for very special occasions (though this should be seldom — ClearCorrect must be worn 22 hours per day to do its job properly).
  • While this will depend on your particular problems and goals, treatment with ClearCorrect generally takes about a year or less. By contrast, traditional braces are typically worn for at least a couple of years.

You may be wondering how ClearCorrect compares to Invisalign. ClearCorrect may be a bit less well known, but that’s due to the fact that it’s a newer product. ClearCorrect is just as good and just as effective. Some people say the aligners are even better in terms of clarity on the teeth.

Plus, ClearCorrect is an American company and its products are manufactured in the USA — right here in Texas, in fact! So if you believe in buying American (and buying Texan) whenever possible, ClearCorrect is a great choice.

I’m Ready. Now What?

ClearCorrect aligners are custom made to fit you perfectly. Dr. Kerbal will take a series of precision digital images, impressions, and measurements of your teeth. These will be used to create an exact 3-D picture of your mouth.

Based on this 3-D rendering, your aligners will be designed and manufactured at ClearCorrect’s Texas lab. They can also provide you with a “Phase Zero” retainer, which does not move the teeth, but is basically a practice aligner. You can get used to wearing it, removing it, and cleaning it before your real retainers arrive.

When you begin treatment, you will wear each aligner for two weeks before moving on to the next. About a year later, you will have a gorgeous new smile!
