Tooth-Colored Fillings

A cavity is a hole in your tooth caused by acids. These harmful acids, which are produced by bacteria, soften and decay your tooth enamel. If not filled, a cavity will grow larger over time, leading to pain and eventual tooth loss.

At Gregory Allen Kerbel, DDS, PLLC, we can repair your cavity using a special tooth-colored filling material. Unlike metal, or amalgam, fillings, the composite resin we use is perfectly matched to the shade of your tooth. That means when you open your mouth, you aren’t displaying your cavities for everyone to see!

Dental Crowns

A dental crown is a uniquely versatile dental restoration. It is a tooth-colored and -shaped cap that covers the entire tooth above the gumline. It hides flaws, protects the tooth inside, and strengthens it, restoring your bite. A crown may be used in the following scenarios:

  • Your tooth is severely damaged or decayed
  • Your tooth needs protection after a root canal
  • Your tooth is weak after undergoing repeated dental procedures
  • Your tooth has been damaged due to traumatic injury

Dental crowns are also used on healthy teeth in order to support a dental bridge.

Dental Bridges

If you have a one tooth or multiple adjacent teeth missing, a dental bridge makes your smile whole. A conventional bridge consists of a lifelike artificial tooth held in place by the adjacent teeth, which are covered with crowns. We can also place a bridge atop dental implants, which eliminates the need to alter healthy teeth.

Root Canals

An abscessed or infected tooth may require root canal therapy. This procedure — which, reputation aside, is generally no more uncomfortable than getting a filling — involves removing the infection from inside your tooth through a small hole, then filling it with a special inert material. We will then top the tooth with a dental crown for strength and protection.

Dental Implants

Dental implants replace one or multiple missing teeth and are the gold standard tooth replacement option. Unlike restorations that sit atop the gums, a dental implant is a titanium post that is surgically inserted into the jawbone and becomes part of your body. Once you are healed from the initial surgery, a connector and restoration are attached to the implant. Your new tooth will look, feel, and function just like the real mccoy. It also helps keep your jawbone stimulated and strong, just as actual teeth do.

If you aren’t a candidate for dental implants due to budget concerns or your jawbone is not healthy enough, our dentures are a fantastic alternative. Due to improvements in manufacturing and materials technology, modern dentures are far more realistic, better fitting, and comfortable than those of the past.
