Dallas Dentures, Partial Dentures, and
If you are missing teeth, then Dallas Dentist Dr. Gregory Allen Kerbel can replace them with beautiful, custom dentures. Replacing missing teeth not only keeps you looking younger, but also aids in you overall health. Without teeth it becomes difficult to properly chew your food, therefore compromising the body’s ability to fully digest your food. Also, teeth and surrounding structures support the face, so if you are missing teeth your lips and cheeks will look different and it can even be hard to speak clearly.
You can replace missing teeth with full (“complete”) dentures, or if only a few teeth are missing, then you can replace them with partial dentures.
Before Cosmetic Dentures
After Cosmetic Dentures
Full dentures replace all of the teeth on the upper, lower, or both jaws. Dr. Kerbel will fabricate custom dentures to fit over your jaws that will mimic the color and appearance of natural teeth. If you currently have dentures that are in need of replacement, then Dr. Kerbel will work with you to design and fabricate a new custom, cosmetic denture that brings out your best smile. We can make an “Immediate Denture” for people needing their remaining teeth removed and then insert their new denture at the same appointment. Immediate dentures allow you to “immediately” have a new smile without waiting for dentures to be built after all the teeth are removed. Call our office and we will be glad to assist you in answering questions you may have.
If you are only missing a few teeth, then partial dentures may be a solution to your dental need. Partial dentures are removable devices that replace a few missing teeth and the partial uses the remaining teeth to help “connect” and hold the partial in place. Partials may be an option for you if you are missing a few teeth and the remaining teeth are strong enough to help secure the partial in place. Dr. Kerbel will show you your treatment options and help you make and informed decision that fits your needs best.
Relining Full Dentures and Partial Dentures
Over time, relines are essential for denture patients to give your dentures the best possible fit. As we get older, bone and supporting tissues will change, but your dentures will not, so “relines” are needed to maintain your denture fitting properly. Relines are generally accomplished every 3 to 5 years for most patients.
