Dr. Greg Kerbel on being a General Dentist Read Transcript
Being a general dentist is really a broad term. In our office, we desire to take care of every need that you may have and on occasion, we may actually refer you to a specialist that needs to have that care. The great thing is in our office, most of the specialty care is already there. We have a periodontist that provides implants with over 20 years experience, tissue graphing as well. We restore all of our implants in our office and so, it's really nice for patients because they don't have to go to so many outside offices, and that's a convenience that we offer.
Our desire though, bottom line, is to take care of you, whatever your need is, in a way that we, ourselves, would want to be taken care of.
The Importance of Dental Cleanings & Exams
There are grooves in your teeth that are so thin not even a single bristle from your toothbrush can fit inside to clean them! That’s why regular dental cleanings and exams are so important!
We’ll give your pearly whites a thorough cleaning, check for signs of oral cancer, and catch problems that might otherwise go overlooked by using state-of-the-art dental technology, including:
- Digital X-rays
- DIAGNOdent cavity detectors
So you can avoid oral health problems, we can also offer preventive treatments and professional advice, such as:
- Dental sealants
- Fluoride treatments and varnishes
- Nutritional counseling
We will also recommend any dental treatments that may be necessary.
